Forgive but never surrender by Dissonant Structures

“Forgive but Surrender” is the latest creation by talented metal act “Dissonant Structures“, born on 2014 in Barcelona, relocated in Sweden and then permanently moved to Ambato, in Ecuador. The current line-up features: Hannes Grossman  (drums), Evgen Zoidze (Vocals on tracks 1, 2 and 4), and Felipe del Valle (Vocals on track 3). The band recently a stunning EP titled “Forgive but never surrender“. The combo of these brilliant artists and their different talents ended up with an eclectic metal release, ranging from death metal to melodic metal mixed with trash metal and including elements from heavy metal.

In the author’s own words: “The EP was created and designed to respond to a very strong need to express myself; figuring out how to pull out off my body some feelings which were threatening my health“. The result is an incredible, impressive and powerful release, which takes full advantage of the skills of its very reputed and  drummer  Hannes Grossman  and of the mighty voice of Evgen Zoidze from the Ukranian act Electrified. Because of the remarkable eclecticism of the whole opus, track 3 ” Never Forget/Forgive me” required a different, still powerful but more melodic voice: it is the turn of Felipe del Valle from Chile.

The work brings to the listener four smashing tracks. The assault start with “Temporal Evolution“. The track shows part of the musical coordinates that will be found during the enitre ep. Instrumental aggression mixes with clean vocal creatin an amazing and original creation that take the listener from the land of brutality to the plains of Heavy and Power Metal. “Trasmute/Improve” has a crushing beginning and death metal elements start the massacre before a slower part leading to more brutal solutions and this duality last for the entire track. The third track is “Never forget/Forgive me” which has slower start with ckean vocal an heavy/power inspired instrumental parts. The heavy metal inspiration becomes relevant in the last track where a power metal atmospheres meet progressive metal while vocal continuosly change fron clan to grow. In all this audible pleasure the band inserted more brutal parts creating an impressive ending for an exciting EP.

In short, we can say that the entire project fascinates and astounds the listener, who is thrown into the new musical  adventure resulting from “an inchoate new state of creativity” of the authour’s himself. An explosive creativity which combines and unites different musical generes and subgeneres in an unprecedented way.
